PROOF OF HEAVEN

The proof of heaven starts with thousands of people around the world who claim to have had near-death experiences (NDEs). Scientists believe that these experiences can be easily explained as mere fantasies triggered by an extremely stressed brain. That belief changed for Dr. Eban Alexander.

Dr. Alexander lay in a hospital bed in a comma because of a rare illness: a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. His brain, that relates to thought and motion, had completely shut down. His condition was so bad that doctors were ready to stop all treatment. But then he regained consciousness and opened his eyes—and was healed: it was a medical miracle! Dr. Scott Wade who attended to him at the hospital concluded that having a full recovery from this illness after being in a coma for nearly a week, is truly remarkable.

During this laps of time he learned that “the death of the body and the brain are not the end of consciousness and that human experience continues after the grave. More important, it continues under the gaze of a God, who loves and cares about each one of us and it is about… where all the beings are ultimately going.” He claimed that the this place was real. Real in a way that makes the life we are living here and now completely dreamlike by comparison”.

He saw his experience as a duty or a calling to tell people what he saw beyond the body and beyond this earth. He wrote a best-selling book: The New York Times book Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife. No matter what your personal beliefs might be, these ideas will change your life. You are learning about a new world for you: a vast and incalculably positive journey.

You are learning that there is a God in heaven who controls everything and has a plan for you. He will give you eternal life in heaven if you live a life of humility, piety, dignity and inner poverty. All you have to do is follow 10 rules. And you don’t have to change any dates of your religious holidays! Wouldn’t Thomas Edison be surprised; he once said the he had “never seen the slightest scientific proof of religious theories of heaven and hell.”

While his body lay in coma,  Dr. Alexander journeyed beyond this world and encountered an angelic being who guided him into the deepest realms of super-physical existence. There he met, and spoke with, the Divine source of the universe itself. Dr. Alexander’s story is not a fantasy. Today he believes that true health can be achieved only when we realize that God and the soul are real and that death is not the end of personal existence but only a transition.

His heavenly experience was like a fetus floating in a womb. The “mother” of this fetus was God, the Creator, the Source who is responsible for making the universe and all in it. He had God as his companion, who was so close that there seemed to be no distance between them. He felt like he was being born into a larger world, and that the universe itself was like a giant beautiful cosmic womb. He learned that there was more than one universe, but that love was the center of them all.

There were millions of butterflies all around. Someone was next to him, a beautiful girl who rode along together on wings like a butterfly: her message was three-fold: “You are loved and cherished , dearly forever”. “You have nothing to fear”. “There is nothing you can do wrong”. This love that he experienced was unconditional: it became his most important discovery.

He leaned that he was able to instantly and effortlessly understand concepts that would have taken him years to fully grasp on his earthly life. Thoughts entered him directly. Knowledge was stored without memorization, instantly and for good. He learned that the physical side of the universe was a mere speck of dust compared to the invisible and spiritual part.

In the worlds above this one, one could access any time or place in the world:  time simply doesn’t behave as it does here. It’s not “one-thing-after-another” in those worlds. A moment can seem like a lifetime. Continue reading Proof of Heaven 2

The World Problem 2

World Problem

–Bertrand Russell

THE WORLD PROBLEM

The World Bank estimates that the world problem is that a quarter of the world is chronically under nourished. It is shocking to know that this problem has been with us for centuries. This problem seems too remote for most people. Hunger continues to initiate the most violent wars. People who are out of work and are starving are the stuff of which dictatorships are made. Yet, no one truly desires anyone to suffer or starve.

A Meaningful Existence

Most of us live for tomorrow: it will be better, richer, wiser and more secure. We are all searching for something that will make our existence more meaningful. Even the ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would have to answer two questions: “Did you bring joy?” and “Did you find joy?” We truly have an obligation to be the best person that we can. Any new learning, which will aid us in obtaining that goal, will benefit  everyone. Each of us has something special to contribute. There is something that each of us can do if we are willing. Finding ways to become involved is a good beginning. We can use the time that we are given to give birth to our potential — our human trademark. We are challenged  to see new possibilities. We are living at a time of abundant new beginnings.  It is actually exciting when people come to grips with their own uniqueness as individuals. We are constantly told that nothing is free and that every investment has to have a return. Yet, over 50% of people volunteer their time at something to improve society.

An Earthly Paradise

The Buddhist tell a story of the frog lodged at the bottom of the well, which cannot  ever understand the limitless expanse of the sky. If we can only step out of our own perceptual traps, we can begin to see the beauty and goodness. An earthly paradise is not some far-off impossible destination. It can be a loving voyage in the here and now. We are responsible for creating our own paradise and the time to start the voyage is NOW.

The Save-the-World Mind Set

We are living through a period of an unprecedented social and technological change.  This rapid advancement in technology and human networks have exponentially opened up new pathways to actualizing one’s passions. People want to broadcast and express themselves and even cultivate a following. There is an increased global awareness and connections to others in remote areas. Many people do not associate helping the poor around the world as a calling from God. They think that Christianity is a laundry list of vague beliefs that have little meaning on how they spend their time. Actually, they lack a deep understanding of their faith and that following Jesus is a way of life..

Many people aspire to science-related careers. Some people assume that science has cornered the world on knowledge: things are only true when they are tested with scientific methods. There is a name for this: scientism. This thinking must not become more important than obedience to God.

Here is what Sir Isaac Newton said about his belief: “ I have a fundamental belief in the Bible as the Word of God, written by those who were inspired. I study the Bible daily.” He credited his Creator with the existence of the universe. Each moment has a life upon itself with as much potential for joy and happiness as we are willing to bring to it: life is wonderful; joy is our birthright and love is what it is all about.

Love

Having more of anything other than the love for God and neighbor will leave you dissatisfied with relationships and possessions. To love is the greatest of human experience and sooner or later we discover that life without it is empty and meaningless. Love is always worth the effort. Kindness in giving creates love. Each of us bears a torch but we must keep it lit. The hope of tomorrow is that these blazing torches will provide hope for tomorrow. We want to leave the world a better place for our having to be in it.

To Build a Team

Today people don’t want to be only hearers of faith but also doers — to put feet to their faith: action on behalf of others. This is empathy: the ability to understand and take on yourself the burden of others to serve and restore God’s world. God has made all things and He is making all things new for you. So what has God called you to do in partnership with the community of Christ-followers?  How can you be on a mission in the world for Christ, based on what you are gifted to do? THINK GOOD HEALTH   2

God summons us to this journey. We invite those who choose to

THINK GOOD HEALTH

Come along on this pilgrimage. We promise no material advantage. We do promise meaning and inclusion in the community of faith – think: a new liberty and a new freedom and good health.

We as pilgrims feel certain that God, the Terrific Lover, has been present in the details of our days, as we chart the course of this journey.

The Lord’s Prayer says it all: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And if that goal were characterized with a seriousness of purpose and direction, would not God respond in love to our prayers to follow His will?

Actually there is no moderate way to read the gospel and there is no middle road to follow Jesus. We must assert ourselves with our own deepest truth and at the same time reach out with great love to another. We were made for God; we were made for love.

Do what you love, but don’t do it for the money. The attachment to money is a huge temptation to deviate from love. Remember the purpose of your career: to channel God’s love, to spread joy.

When our motives are getting and not giving, our mind becomes the source of greed — it dulls our creativity and wastes our energy. Our money is God’s money. God wants us to have whatever material support contributes to our happiness. Ask God to channel His abundance through you in a way that serves the world. Continue reading THINK GOOD HEALTH   2

BLESSING OF ILLNESS 2

Untitled-5

BLESSING OF ILLNESS

God doesn’t punish us by sending illness to us. On the contrary, illness forces us to depend on God even though some people, who are ill, may feel bitter initially. In the end, illness forces us to focus on important things in our lives. It teaches us to pray. So there is a blessing of illness.

Real health is inner peace even during the experience of critical illness. This happens when we surrender our illness to God. It is almost as if our illness was a “wake-up call” for our lives to really start. Finding that essence is our return to God. It is the real purpose of our lives. So healing is a return to God and love.

We are spirits and not bodies; we are eternally healthy and we are incapable of sickness from the perspective of the spirit world. The mind is more powerful than the body. It sometimes blocks our capacity to find God. Instead it must be used as a springboard to soar into His arms. We must turn our eyes away from the sickness to the love that lies beyond it. No sickness can diminish our capacity to love.

Sickness is a reflection of our own love that needs to be reclaimed. We must let go of our thoughts of fear and embrace a world of hope and love. This surrender is so gentle you need only whisper it and all the spiritual power of God’s love will rush to your assistance and support. God does His part when we do ours. WITHOUT FAITH WE ARE WASTING TIME 2

Faith

FAITH — THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING:

We can fritter away a great deal of energy with small worries and miss so much of what God has planned for us. Are we still tinkering with what is trivial or foolish?  In fact, without faith, we are wasting our time.

Are we missing out on real new possibilities? Would we not be much happier if we moved deeply with God into relationships and community with others?
So why do people live out their lives in a way that suggests they are really waiting for their lives to be over in order to be with God for eternity?
Why do people live out their lives in such a way as to become the persons that they wish to be in five or ten years? We are not talking about mentors whose lives we admire. We are talking about now, when we should accept who and what we are in the present? Some refer to this as the Sacrament of the Present Moment.
It seems that we are content with shuffling along getting by with as little of life and experience as we possibly can. But if we live vigorously, the new life that becomes ours is none other than the life of God. God’s presence within life is very real and it is everywhere. One does not go outside life to find God.
St. Augustine wrote that wisdom is not what is to come in the future, nor what has been in the past, but what is. Maybe we have to recognize these religious experiences in the matter of everyday with a little more sensitivity.

Can we sharpen the focus of the eyes of faith – in the ordinary? Faith is trusting in the force that moves the universe — it isn’t blind, just visionary.

The universe knows what it is doing and it is on our side if we have faith. Our attempts to direct this force merely interfere with it. In fact, without faith we are wasting time.  Continue reading WITHOUT FAITH WE ARE WASTING TIME 2
