PROOF OF HEAVEN

The proof of heaven starts with thousands of people around the world who claim to have had near-death experiences (NDEs). Scientists believe that these experiences can be easily explained as mere fantasies triggered by an extremely stressed brain. That belief changed for Dr. Eban Alexander.

Dr. Alexander lay in a hospital bed in a comma because of a rare illness: a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. His brain, that relates to thought and motion, had completely shut down. His condition was so bad that doctors were ready to stop all treatment. But then he regained consciousness and opened his eyes—and was healed: it was a medical miracle! Dr. Scott Wade who attended to him at the hospital concluded that having a full recovery from this illness after being in a coma for nearly a week, is truly remarkable.

During this laps of time he learned that “the death of the body and the brain are not the end of consciousness and that human experience continues after the grave. More important, it continues under the gaze of a God, who loves and cares about each one of us and it is about… where all the beings are ultimately going.” He claimed that the this place was real. Real in a way that makes the life we are living here and now completely dreamlike by comparison”.

He saw his experience as a duty or a calling to tell people what he saw beyond the body and beyond this earth. He wrote a best-selling book: The New York Times book Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife. No matter what your personal beliefs might be, these ideas will change your life. You are learning about a new world for you: a vast and incalculably positive journey.

You are learning that there is a God in heaven who controls everything and has a plan for you. He will give you eternal life in heaven if you live a life of humility, piety, dignity and inner poverty. All you have to do is follow 10 rules. And you don’t have to change any dates of your religious holidays! Wouldn’t Thomas Edison be surprised; he once said the he had “never seen the slightest scientific proof of religious theories of heaven and hell.”

While his body lay in coma,  Dr. Alexander journeyed beyond this world and encountered an angelic being who guided him into the deepest realms of super-physical existence. There he met, and spoke with, the Divine source of the universe itself. Dr. Alexander’s story is not a fantasy. Today he believes that true health can be achieved only when we realize that God and the soul are real and that death is not the end of personal existence but only a transition.

His heavenly experience was like a fetus floating in a womb. The “mother” of this fetus was God, the Creator, the Source who is responsible for making the universe and all in it. He had God as his companion, who was so close that there seemed to be no distance between them. He felt like he was being born into a larger world, and that the universe itself was like a giant beautiful cosmic womb. He learned that there was more than one universe, but that love was the center of them all.

There were millions of butterflies all around. Someone was next to him, a beautiful girl who rode along together on wings like a butterfly: her message was three-fold: “You are loved and cherished , dearly forever”. “You have nothing to fear”. “There is nothing you can do wrong”. This love that he experienced was unconditional: it became his most important discovery.

He leaned that he was able to instantly and effortlessly understand concepts that would have taken him years to fully grasp on his earthly life. Thoughts entered him directly. Knowledge was stored without memorization, instantly and for good. He learned that the physical side of the universe was a mere speck of dust compared to the invisible and spiritual part.

In the worlds above this one, one could access any time or place in the world:  time simply doesn’t behave as it does here. It’s not “one-thing-after-another” in those worlds. A moment can seem like a lifetime.

While in this ultra real, but dreamlike heaven, he had no earthly memories whatsoever, and the only pain and heartache he felt was when he had to return to earth, where he had begun. On the day that the doors of Heaven were closed to him, he felt a sense of sadness unlike any that he had ever known.

He learned that God brings us into existence in order to allow us to participate in the glory of God. Our role on earth is closely watched by the beings in the world above, who we give the name angels. There is a true spiritual self that all of us are destined someday to recover. But until that day comes, we should try to get in touch with the miraculous aspect of ourselves — a being that God truly intends us to be.

How do we get closer to this genuine spiritual self? By manifesting love and compassion. Why? Because they make up the very fabric of the spiritual realm, heaven. In order to enter this beautiful realm, we must become like that realm, which is ruled by love, while plodding on earth.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming God as impersonal. Actually, God understands and sympathizes (His Mercy) with our human situation more profoundly more than we can imagine.

Of course, there is evil in our world. Evil was necessary because without it free will was impossible, and without free will there would be no growth– no chance to become what God expects us to be. Love in our world is still overwhelmingly dominant and it will ultimately be triumphant.

Dr. Alexander realized that there were many beings surrounding him, kneeling in arcs that spread into the distance, who were praying for him. He recognized the faces of six of his friends and relatives. These prayers gave him energy. He was on his way back, but he was not alone and he knew that he would never feel alone again. When he fully recovered, he truly and completely felt “well” for the first time in his entire life. He under stood for the first time who he really was, and what kind of world he inhabited.

One of the first recorded NDE in 1975 was based on a book, Life after Life, which ran as a Reader’s Digest book section for two issues in a row because of its popularity. A man named George Ritchie “died” as a result of a cardiac arrest and experienced being out of his body for nine minutes. He traveled down a tunnel, visited heavenly and hellish regions, met a being of light that he identified as Jesus, and experienced feelings of peace and well-being that were so intense he had difficulty putting them into words.

Science and technology have left many of us relatively bereft in the realm of meaning and joy, and of knowing how our lives fit into the grand scheme of existence for all eternity. Some scientists have difficulty answering through conventional scientific means, and imply simply that heaven does not exist.

There is no room in this heavenly reality in the medically trained scientific world view. Skeptical people simply think that they”know” that this is all impossible. Contemporary science is based on the claim that all reality is material or physical. Yet, the biggest problem of all for materialism is the existence of consciousness: that minds are not confined to brains. We are now left only one conclusion: that we are conscious in spite of our brains – that, in fact, consciousness is at the root of all existence.

This phenomena is real and we must try to understand its nature if we want to comprehend the reality of our own existence. There is an immense chasm between our human knowledge and the awe-inspiring realm of God. Heaven is our true home and thinking that the physical world is all that matters is like shutting oneself up in a small closet and imagining that there is nothing else out beyond it.

You are more than your physical body! At the end of the day, we each have to go deep into our own consciousness, through prayer and meditation to access these truths. Communicating with God is the most extraordinary experience imaginable, yet at the same time it’s the most natural one of all, because God is present in us at all times: personal and everyone in the universe  is loved by Him without condition. Without this love, we will always feel lost on earth.

WHAT IS AN AUTHENTIC LIFE?

authentic lifeWHAT IS AN AUTHENTIC LIFE?

An authentic life starts with a prayer: “I offer you this half hour of my swim for … who is struggling… or any other cause.” So that you “pray continuously” 1 Thessalonians 5:17  So while you are cleaning windows, you simply offer this hour of cleaning for thanksgiving for your family. You offer the actions of your life to God as a prayer. This is the secret on how the busy modern person can find intimacy with God. The interior effect of the work we do becomes more important than the exterior fruits of our work.

“Most men lead lives of quiet desperation.” Henry Thoreau in Walden Pond. We all know how people’s lives have become faster and busier every day. It seems as though many people are living merely to survive. The treatment for depression today is ten times greater than previous times.

We lose the reason why we are here: what is the meaning and purpose of our life? If we become distracted from our purpose long enough, we become miserable. Our modern life has become a distraction from our real Christian goal in life.  We either don’t know what this goal is or we cast it aside. Even worst — this goal seems to  make people uncomfortable so the goal is watered down. Ironically, if you take away the goal of the Christian life, you don’t make it easier to live — you make it harder.

You are much happier when you have a higher standard to look to and strive for. Having a meaningful goal flood your spirit with hope and fills your mind with determination.

In truth, holiness is something that God does in us and not something we achieve. God is still the perfect Gentleman.  He invites us to participate in His life, but He never forces Himself on us. He wants our consent because he desires our loving cooperation.

Those who respond to God’s call to holiness are the most joyful people on earth. They have richer, more abundant experience of life and they love more deeply than most people. They enjoy life — all of life.

How do you know that you are close to holiness? You have an insatiable desire to become all God created you to be: and unwavering commitment to the will of God and an unquenchable concern for unholy people. You are continually answering God’s invitation to grasp the moments of your life — perhaps being sensitive to a divine appointment that God has aligned for you. You tap into the grace of God, which is never lacking. In this way you are giving glory to God.

The Idolatry of Wealth and Reevaluation of Treasure

Our holiness is compatible with every state in life. Even the rich are called to live holy lives by using their wealth in productive ways that foster their own growth and the growth of others.

Idolatry? Who can tell me what that word means?” A nine-year-old’s hand shot into the air. “It’s like what some people do with money—they make it more important than God.” The wisdom of these simple words reverberated through the Sunday school classroom.

Christians are called to reject the idolization of wealth in the modern consumerist society. Instead, they are invited to make productive use of material wealth for the ministries of God.

So long as individuals maintain a greater attachment to worldly possessions than to God, they will find it harder to enter the kingdom of heaven than a camel to pass through the eye of the needle.

WEALTH IS NOT GREED!

The all-consuming desire to possess riches and temporal material comfort is a barrier between humanity and God, for you cannot serve both God and wealth.                                                      Matthew 6:24

Indeed, those who utilize their material wealth for the good of others further their relationship with God. For in every individual in need of food, drink, clothing, shelter, or comfort, there is God.                                                                                                                              Matthew 25:34-40

Christians are called to be good stewards rather than owners of their material blessings, multiplying them in accordance to their ability.

When humanity is entrusted with the material and spiritual gifts of God, it is called to use its material wealth for the glory of God, and like the servants of the Parable of the Talents, Christians are called to freely and willingly return the talents to God upon His request, and for this careful stewardship, they will be richly rewarded in heaven.

The treasure of heaven is far greater than any temporal wealth, and the abundance of grace which flows from Christ’s life far surpasses any earthly comfort.

The World Problem

World Problem

–Bertrand Russell

THE WORLD PROBLEM

The World Bank estimates that the world problem is that a quarter of the world is chronically under nourished. It is shocking to know that this problem has been with us for centuries. This problem seems too remote for most people. Hunger continues to initiate the most violent wars. People who are out of work and are starving are the stuff of which dictatorships are made. Yet, no one truly desires anyone to suffer or starve.

A Meaningful Existence

Most of us live for tomorrow: it will be better, richer, wiser and more secure. We are all searching for something that will make our existence more meaningful. Even the ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would have to answer two questions: “Did you bring joy?” and “Did you find joy?” We truly have an obligation to be the best person that we can. Any new learning, which will aid us in obtaining that goal, will benefit  everyone. Each of us has something special to contribute. There is something that each of us can do if we are willing. Finding ways to become involved is a good beginning. We can use the time that we are given to give birth to our potential — our human trademark. We are challenged  to see new possibilities. We are living at a time of abundant new beginnings.  It is actually exciting when people come to grips with their own uniqueness as individuals. We are constantly told that nothing is free and that every investment has to have a return. Yet, over 50% of people volunteer their time at something to improve society.

An Earthly Paradise

The Buddhist tell a story of the frog lodged at the bottom of the well, which cannot  ever understand the limitless expanse of the sky. If we can only step out of our own perceptual traps, we can begin to see the beauty and goodness. An earthly paradise is not some far-off impossible destination. It can be a loving voyage in the here and now. We are responsible for creating our own paradise and the time to start the voyage is NOW.

The Save-the-World Mind Set

We are living through a period of an unprecedented social and technological change.  This rapid advancement in technology and human networks have exponentially opened up new pathways to actualizing one’s passions. People want to broadcast and express themselves and even cultivate a following. There is an increased global awareness and connections to others in remote areas. Many people do not associate helping the poor around the world as a calling from God. They think that Christianity is a laundry list of vague beliefs that have little meaning on how they spend their time. Actually, they lack a deep understanding of their faith and that following Jesus is a way of life.. Many people aspire to science-related careers. Some people assume that science has cornered the world on knowledge: things are only true when they are tested with scientific methods. There is a name for this: scientism. This thinking must not become more important than obedience to God. Here is what Sir Isaac Newton said about his belief: ” I have a fundamental belief in the Bible as the Word of God, written by those who were inspired. I study the Bible daily.” He credited his Creator with the existence of the universe. Each moment has a life upon itself with as much potential for joy and happiness as we are willing to bring to it: life is wonderful; joy is our birthright and love is what it is all about.

Love

Having more of anything other than the love for God and neighbor will leave you dissatisfied with relationships and possessions. To love is the greatest of human experience and sooner or later we discover that life without it is empty and meaningless. Love is always worth the effort. Kindness in giving creates love. Each of us bears a torch but we must keep it lit. The hope of tomorrow is that these blazing torches will provide hope for tomorrow. We want to leave the world a better place for our having to be in it.

To Build a Team

Today people don’t want to be only hearers of faith but also doers — to put feet to their faith: action on behalf of others. This is empathy: the ability to understand and take on yourself the burden of others to serve and restore God’s world. God has made all things and He is making all things new for you. So what has God called you to do in partnership with the community of Christ-followers?              How can you be on a mission in the world for Christ, based on what you are gifted to do?

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

god proof

  • Christians don’t shout, “I am clean living!” They whisper “I was lost, but now I’m found and forgiven.”
  • Christians don’t speak of this with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
  • Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they are trying to be strong because they are really weak and need strength.
  • Christians don’t brag of success, but they admit that they are failing and they need God to clean up the mess.
  • Christians don’t claim to be perfect. Their flaws are far too visible but God believes they are worth it.
  • Christians still feel the sting of pain and they have their share of headaches but they call upon His Name.
  • Christians are not holier than thou. They are also simple sinners who receive God’s Unbelievable Grace.

jesus god

 Christianity on a Table Napkin:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was so that He could suffer in the flesh, take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily.
He is the Saviour – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21    It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His wings.
If you are not yet received Jesus as your Saviour… SAY: Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Be Lord of my life!  Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Saviour and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen

God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will have begun.  “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.”                                       Luke 1: 49

Are we not like Barabbas justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”?  And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD.

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.    Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to this Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading the Gospel according to John: It is all about love and you will love it. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. THE COMING GLORY

Coming Glory

The Coming Glory

In 1994, God poured out His power on what was then the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. As the years passed, there was a disinterest in all of this — too messy! Too out of control! To make things worse, our cultural agreement concerning right and wrong, sin and morality has been lost. It seems that the world is growing darker. But this may be the very time when the Holy Spirit will turn things around and start to burn brighter in our Churches for the Coming Glory.

We in North America have yet to experience the true baptism in the Spirit, because we tend to be too laid-back, as our culture teeters on the edge of collapse.  Christians, when they become rich, increase their goods and are in need of nothing. They forsake God and become self-centered.  The really love God, but they love their pleasures even more.  Many have fallen away from church involvement — still believers, but only going through the motions; they don’t know what else to do.

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”                                                                                              2 Timothy 3: 1, 2, 4

Even the most doubtful people on earth must, in their honest moments, admit that something apocalyptic “shaking” is about to take place in the world. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of My mouth”.                                                                    Revelation 3: 15-16

At least that seems the common opinion among many modern day prophets. “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.”                    Amos 3:7

“... as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.  But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.” 2 Peter 3:12-13 So those who are prepared, should be accepting of the coming event. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”                                           James 1:12

Coming-Glory

The Prophetic Coming Glory

God’s call to Jeremiah exemplifies the call to a prophet: “Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, ‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.‘”       Jeremiah 1:9

God has endowed more people now with the gift of prophecy. A prophet may have this spiritual gift, but this doesn’t mean the prophet is in a position of a governing authority; they mistake the gift for authority. So their self-exaltation may pervert or misuse the gift.  Also, many Christians have no idea how to receive a prophet; they don’t know the role and function of prophecy in their church.  If a church does not utilize prophecy, they suffer loses: “Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.”                                                                                                                         Matthew 10:41

One recent prophecy is ,’The magnitude of My revealed glory in the coming days shall be seven times greater than what the people experienced in the Book of Acts’.  This is also in reference to “The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds He inflicted.”                                                                                                                                              Isaiah 30:26

Who Will be the Prophetic?                                                                                          “They continually devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.”                                                            Acts 2:42-43

So how can all this begin to happen?  The words, “continually devoted” says it all: hearing and absorbing what God is saying, which requires a strong personal relationship.

Fellowship speaks about spending time together with other believers, whom can be called anointed clusters: the depth and power of the love and fellowship in oneness. ” And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” Hebrews 10:24-25 “If anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

Breaking of bread refers to the Holy Eucharist or Communion, the receiving of Jesus into one’s heart. Finally prayer to be done in the cluster or by personal devotions.

Notice that the early Christians kept feeling a sense of “awe at the many wonders and signs. This is more than human love; there is a supernatural quality to it.

Reverence

The fear of the Lord is a much misunderstood concept. It does not involve abject terror or dread of divine justice. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word used for this fear is yirah, which denotes piety and reverence.

Some Christians will attend church, listen to God’s Word and talk about God’s Word and even boast about the saving grace of our Lord, but they reject the power that could truly make them holy. They emphasize the goodness of God at the expense of the fear of God.

God’s wonderful love and goodness should inspire awe and worship in our hearts.  Yet “in Him we live and move and have our being” Acts 17:28  God’s Majesty does not keep us from Him because He willingly humbles Himself to fellowship with us                                                                                                                                                       Psalm 113:4-9; 138:6

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.”                                                                                                           Isaiah 6:3

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 We need obedience toward the heart of our Master. We must lay all else aside, including hidden agendas or motives, otherwise the outcome is shallow and non-productive.

Revival

One well known prophet received a vision: the hand of God was placed on a great power switch, ready to pull it up to loose the waters of revival that will flood the world. The water is being released and will, in its fullness, result in the greatest harvest the earth has ever known It will be glorious!   “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”                                                                                                    Habakkuk 2:14

“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.” Haggai 2:9  Jesus saved the best wine for the last at the wedding of Canaan, so it will be at the time of restoration of all things.
