The Prophecy
The Prophecy: “It will all come about when history has been completed. God will then bring together all things in heaven and on earth under one ruler. The ruler is Christ.” Ephesians 1:10
The Timing and Seasons of God
“Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.” Corinthians 14:1
The Prophet, Isaiah, prophesied in his day 700 years before Christ: “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
“Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:34
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55: 8, 9
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” 2 Peter 3:8
So what is God saying to us through his Word?
“After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will restore us, that we may live in His presence.” Hosea 6:2 This means that God has a plan and a purpose in His will: a restoration and release of all things spoken of by the apostles and prophets: “for time is at hand” Revelation 22:10 “For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.” Romans 9:28
“See, I am doing a new thing!
“Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 A new thing? Wow! God is about to do things in and through His Church.
If we will hear God’s Word and believe in it, we can be God’s prophetic pioneers who will help God fulfill it. After all we are co-laborers with God. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:1-3
So Christ suffered and died for our sins so that He might bring “many sons unto glory.” Hebrews 2:10 That means that God has predestined that there will be those who will think God’s thoughts, manifest His majesty, portray His power and glorify His grace without pain and confusion. This will come about like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon.
Yet every restoration brings a revolution. New wine cannot be contained in old wineskins: it will burst forth. ”They pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17
